Welcome to the Projects In Practice blog, hosted by Bonnie Biafore and Teresa Stover. We see this blog as a forum for discussing all things project management with others, whether experienced project managers or people just getting their feet wet. We invite you to read posts and comment to jump into the conversation and share your experiences.

Bonnie Biafore has always been a zealous organizer, whether setting up software demos, cooking gourmet meals, or scheduling a vacation to test the waters of spontaneity. Ironically, fate, not planning, turned this obsession into a career as a project manager.

Bonnie has managed projects in telecommunications, utilities, and software for clients that range from established to startup.

When she isn’t managing projects for clients, Bonnie writes about project management, personal finance, investing, and technology. As an engineer, she’s fascinated by how things work and how to make things work better. She has a knack for mincing dry subjects like accounting and finance into easy to understand morsels and then spices them to perfection with her warped sense of humor.

Bonnie has written almost two dozen books including QuickBooks 2012: The Missing Manual, Project 2010: The Missing Manual, Successful Project Management, Your Project Management Coach, and the Better Investing Stock Selection Handbook. She also has several online courses available from lynda.com, including Project 2010 and Project Management Fundamentals. Her books have garnered numerous awards, although she values the positive feedback from readers and students much more.
